School of Arts
If you or dancers from your dance school wish to perform in this online showcase, please ensure that they follow the following criteria: 
  1. All Participants must send a 10-line Bio of themselves or the Dance School if presenting a Group dance (in a Word document)

  2. A video presentation should consist of 
    1. Self-intro less than 1 min 
    2. Items with a brief description (Ragam, Thalam, Composer and Choreographer) 
    3. Ending note with gratitude.

  3. A photo in dance costume of performer is required for announcements

  4. All dances should be pre-recorded with overlaid audio. 

  5. KalArandha School of Arts will not be responsible for any copyright infringements

  6. The Dance school is responsible for the quality of the Video and audio.  KalAradhana will not perform any editing. The video provided will be aired as received. 

  7. Pay attention to duration of the video as it should NOT exceed 30 minutes.  

  8. Upload your video file, 10-line bio, photo and Item name to a folder on Google Drive (using participant’s account) in a mp4 format (720p or higher) and SHARE the folder to nrityamela@kalAradhana.org 

  9. Please allow at least 4 weeks for your dance school to appear on ‘Nrityamela’ 

Some Technical Suggestions:
  • Avoid echo in your presentations. Please go through the tutorial (https://youtu.be/j8TQLyw_xdE) or else simply cover the room with lots of clothes or thick blankets or comforters. Please try to use an external mic, which will capture your voice better. 

  • Prior to recording, please mark your dance area through the camera, so that your feet/hands do not go out of frame. Preferably keep your recording device on a stand. The camera should be at the dancer’s face height.  

  • Please ensure that the dance is recorded in front of a plain wall (no curtains or colors that will affect dance costume), with no window to avoid glare. Windows should behind the camera, so that light falls on the dancer.
      
  • Preferably shoot during the day and please let sunlight fall on your face and not from behind.

  • We prefer that you use ‘Dancing Script’ font size 16 (https://www.1001fonts.com/dancing-script-font.html) for any content, you plan to use in your presentation.
